You Are Not Here to Play Small
A fern, symbol of resilience, protection and new beginnings…
You are not here to play small.
Stop hiding.
Stop looking for an escape.
Stop calling yourself inexperienced.
Life is your playground.
Words are your vessel.
Put your hands in the mud.
Leave your mark on the ground.
Drink from your bottomless well.
Listen to the whisper of the oak.
You are not here to play small.
Your tribe is waiting for this call.
Get out. Play. Move. Feel.
This is your Wonder. You are the Wonder!
— Elpida Trizi
These words found their way to the paper effortlessly, about a year ago, as a member of this creative women circle. They belong here, as a collective self-reminder. Together with an audio of myself reading these words out loud and a picture taken on a bright, slow, January day at the slopes of the Ancient Agora of Athens, where I love walking for clarity and inspiration.
Curious what these words evoke in you. Feel invited to drop me a message. And, whenever you want to expand your capacity to feel safe enough to share more of your authentic self with the world and move beyond the fear, I am here for you.
Such poems reflect a co-creative conversation between a place, literally or figuratively, and my mood.
