A Story About Me, Elpida (Hope).
Hello Wanderer,
So, here we are! Some years back I would never have imagined this. Writing my own copy, creating my own website, introducing myself to you, a stranger, the unknown reader. Daring to be and show up for who I truly am. Not as my job description, not as a “role”. The whole, real, raw me.
“Words create worlds”: I have been working - and playing - with words since a tender age; creating and getting lost in my own imaginary worlds, still at times words escape me.
Oscillating between archeology, psychology and communication, I chose to study the latter. Being an only child, growing up in an over-protective environment and craving for connection, influenced my choice.
As a student, I turned to photography to capture moments, expressions, emotions, beyond words. I still love playing with my smartphone and some of my amateur photos you see here.
Travel is my oxygen. Reading and learning languages, my window to the world. I speak five, including my native Greek and understand a couple more.
A creative storyteller at heart, a dreamer and now a holistic coach, I lived many years in Germany and worked in big telecommunications corporations. If you are curious about this chapter of my life I captured the gist here. It was my way to say farewell and I was bold enough to share it with the world. Deciding to move to and then, years later, out of Germany was my radical act; the fulfilling, courageous gift I made to myself.
As a corporate communicator for over twenty years, I hardly ever remember anything going live before “version XYZ”. This took a toll on my creativity, much like the “Sleeping Beauty”, which is now awaken!
Growth mindset and getting involved in a storytelling learning journey back in 2019 lit the coaching spark in me. I attended the Co-Active Fundamentals to quench my thirst for self-discovery and this was only the beginning! Slowly I discovered coaching to be my calling, my passion towards real, human communication, stripped of the “ought to”’s the “should”’s and any excuses. Forever grateful to my own coaches and guides who keep showing me the way back towards my bold, truest self.
Nowadays I live in Athens with my longtime husband and greatest supporter, not far from my elderly parents and my energy tanks, the sun, the mediterranean sea and the mountains!
Enjoying sunsets, dark chocolate and wine, living aligned with my values - freedom, courage and connection - I always love good dancing, sleeping under the starlight, walking in wilderness or diving in the great blue.
